Forty years ago, two aspiring audio engineering students met on their first day of class at UMass Lowell.
Since then, one has gone on to make records with a laundry list of the greatest rock, hip hop, and R&B artists, earning over 30 gold, platinum, and multi-platinum records. The other has won 18 Grammy Awards recording world-class orchestras and operas.
